Personal Response 3: Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease

• Why is it important for children to be kept away from crowded public places if they show signs of infection?
• Why is it essential to follow good hygiene practices?
• What does 'good hygiene practices' mean to you?

It is important to keep away from places if they show signs of Hand,Foot and Mouth Disease(HFMD) because the disease will spread. You might get infected by it and be really sick. We cannot go to school if we have HFMD or it will spread to our classmates and they would all be sick because of you. We also will not learn lots of new things. We must follow good hygiene if we want to be healthy,not get HFMD and go to school. We must practice good hygiene if we do not know what it is. Good hygiene means being clean. We must wash hands before and after eating, covering our mouths when we cough and sneeze and many more. I wish we do not get HFMD as it is bad.
